The Company is implementing our Digital Town Hub platform in towns and cities across the UK, Ireland, and USA to help local communities deliver economic growth, social cohesion, and local engagement.
Our clients are mainly local Councils and Business Improvement Districts (BIDs). We are one of the UK’s leading technology businesses, and we are looking for a Community Engagement Administrator to help bring our digital hubs to life. Your role is to be the “voice of the town,” ensuring every hub is vibrant, active, and filled with high-quality content that connects local people with their community.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday (some occasional flexibility), 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM GMT+1 with 1-hour unpaid lunch

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the day-to-day content management and community outreach across our digital town hubs, specifically:
- Curating Content: Auditing and checking local events to ensure each hub features the most relevant, interesting, and unique activities.
- Targeted Messaging: Promoting events and news using our Targeted Messages feature, ensuring one high-quality notification is sent per hub, per day.
- Content Scheduling: Managing a consistent posting schedule to maintain high levels of user engagement.
- Maintaining Standards: Ensuring all communications adhere to the Company’s best practices regarding language, tone, and visual presentation.
- Hub Vitality: Monitoring hub activity to ensure no digital town feels “quiet” or outdated.
Requirements
We need someone who is organized, digitally savvy, and has a natural flair for communications. Success in this role requires:
- Strong Writing Skills: The ability to craft engaging, punchy, and professional copy (with the support of AI) that motivates people to attend local events.
- Attention to Detail: A “eagle eye” for quality. You’ll be the gatekeeper for what information reaches thousands of citizens.• Tech Literacy: Comfort using CMS (Content Management Systems) and scheduling tools to manage digital outputs.
- Local Awareness: An interest in what makes communities tick, from local markets and festivals to business networking events.
- Self-Motivation: The ability to manage a recurring daily schedule of tasks across multiple geographic locations independently.

- Make the Digital Town Hub the “go-to” source for local discovery.
- Increase event attendance and support for local businesses/organizers.
- Ensure a premium, consistent brand voice across all UK, Ireland, and USA hubs.
Metrics That Relate To Your Role
- Consistency: Ensuring a minimum of one notification per day per digital town hub.
- Engagement Rate: Click-through rates on Targeted Messages and event views.
- Content Quality: Accuracy of event details and adherence to tone-of-voice guidelines.
- Hub Growth: Increase in active users following your engagement campaigns.
Performance Review Goals (First 6 Months)
We hope you will:
- Master the Targeted Messages feature and Company CMS within the first two weeks.
- Establish a seamless daily workflow for auditing and promoting events across all assigned hubs.
- Successfully identify and promote “unique” local highlights that drive measurable spikes in app engagement.
- Contribute to the refinement of our “Best Practice” guide for community tone and language.

- This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
